before we were born
we were moss that covered the earth
stars that twinkled in the sky
trees with roots that go deep
a thread in the network below the forest floor
a molecule of water in the rushing mountain river
Pure Source Energy
manifest in different form

remember
connect with the Ancient Mothers
and our more-than-human Ancestors
our ancient roots
a tree among many trees
we are tethered
to the primordial Tree of Life
we are
Eternal

This channeled writing came forward in this iteration as a gift for my late cousin who recently passed. I’m grateful I could share it with her while she was still here, when she knew she would be dying soon. Another cousin, who is a talented water color artist, created this artwork to go along with it. What a beautiful gift for our family.

It feels good to share here too as a reminder in these dark, unjust times of collapse that we can remember and root into the ancient connections we carry within us. The energy that flows through the vastness of the Universe and this living Earth, also flows through us.

May this bring us comfort. May it help us remember our ancient roots. May it motivate us to tend to and repair what has been severed—what we have severed. May we take up our sacred responsibility to bring our full selves—our creativity, our full spectrum of emotions, our quirks, our authenticity, our deeper ways of knowing, our courage, our love—to the daily struggle for justice and the building of a new world. We are not alone in the struggle.
